PORTLAND, Ore. — Elizabeth Warren is fighting for front-runner status among the candidates for the Democratic presidential nomination.
After the top Democrats debated this week, post-event analysis focused on candidates' attacks on Warren to position themselves against a leading contender in the crowded the field. Warren is also polling ahead of former Vice President Joe Biden in Iowa, according to Real Clear Politics.
Oregon political donors favor progressive candidates, and Warren is running behind only Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont among candidates who have raised money in the state. Through Sept. 30, she has received $466,421, compared with Sanders' $530,546.

This week, the Portland Business Journal has been looking at the biggest donors to leading candidates for president in the 2020 election. Tuesday we presented the top donors to President Donald Trump, and Wednesday it was supporters of Sanders.
Today we show the top donors to Elizabeth Warren's campaign through the end of September. Reporting earlier this week on Trump and Sanders covered Jan. 1 through June 30, but new data on fundraising has since been posted by the Federal Election Commission.
